Cosmetic Dentistry
Few people are born with picture-perfect smiles, but that does not mean that you can’t have the smile you have always wanted. Dr. Ali Ismail and Dr. Carla Ismail have been providing cosmetic dentistry to Canton patients for years with exceptional results.
Cosmetic dentistry is more natural-looking and affordable than ever, making it possible for just about anyone to find a treatment that will improve the appearance of their teeth and add confidence to every interaction.
Free Cosmetic Dentistry Consultations
Our dentists are intent listeners who want to hear what you love—and what you don’t—about how your smile looks. A cosmetic consultation will help us create a custom treatment plan to help you achieve your goals.
We always begin by evaluating your current oral health to rule out decay or periodontal disease. Starting with a healthy foundation is essential.
Beautiful and Long-Lasting Dentistry
Since we use tooth-colored fillings, crowns, veneers, and bonding in our Canton dental office, you could say that all of the dentistry we provide is cosmetic and designed to improve your tooth as well as how it looks.
By utilizing the latest materials and techniques, Dr. Ali and Dr. Carla provide beautiful results that last a long time.
Our Cosmetic Dentistry Services
We offer a wide range of cosmetic dental treatments—from something as simple as teeth whitening to full smile makeovers.
Teeth whitening – Using GLO™ Science professional teeth whitening, we can improve multiple shades with either the in-office system or the take-home trays. Many patients opt for the dramatic results of in-office whitening followed up by touch-ups at home to maintain their white teeth.
Cosmetic bonding – If you are annoyed by a small chip or irregularity, cosmetic bonding might be all you need to fix a tooth that looks out of place.
Metal-free dentistry – Many adults today choose to replace fillings or crowns with metal components for a whiter and brighter result, or to eliminate the dark metal lines near the gums common with older crowns.
Veneers – Porcelain veneers can reshape and improve the color of teeth by covering the fronts of the teeth with natural-looking porcelain.
Invisalign – Clear aligners address issues such as minor crowding, crooked, overlapping, or protruding teeth without the need for brackets and wires. Invisalign uses clear aligners to guide teeth movement, and Dr. Ali and Dr. Carla are both certified Invisalign providers. We run specials regularly for orthodontics with Invisalign.
Full smile makeovers – When patients have short, worn teeth or had an accident that impacted their smiles, our skilled dentists can improve the appearance and function of teeth by combining several of our cosmetic dentistry options for stunning results.

Frequently Asked Questions
Many of us had metal fillings as kids, and they have been there ever since. Although there is nothing wrong with having metal fillings, we do recommend that you have them evaluated by Dr. Ali or Dr. Carla. Because of the expansion and contraction that is common in metal, these fillings can develop small cracks or pull away from the tooth, leaving it vulnerable to bacteria and decay down the road.
Most dentistry will need to be replaced at some point if you have it for a long time.
Of course, if you dislike the color of your metal fillings and prefer a more natural-looking option, we are happy to discuss tooth-colored fillings and crowns with you. We safely remove any metal and clean the area before adding the correct shade of composite to the tooth.
Some large metal fillings might need a dental crown rather than a filling because metal fillings require the removal of more tooth structure to anchor in place. In some cases, not enough healthy tooth structure remains for a white filling. Our dental crowns are natural-looking and durable.
Give us a call at our Canton dental office to learn more about replacing metal dentistry, or to book an appointment to replace older dentistry.
At Sheldon Family Dental, we offer two teeth whitening options – in-office and take-home whitening systems. If you are on a tight timeline, in-office teeth whitening will give you a jumpstart for your special occasion.
Glo Science Teeth Whitening Systems
Many of our patients opt to start with an in-office whitening session followed by teeth whitening at home for maximum results. For the in-office session, we apply the professional-strength whitening gel and activate it with a special light. Each application is for about 20 minutes each, and we repeat the process three times.
You can leave our office with a smile that is multiple shades whiter than when you came in.
Glo Science take-home teeth whitening requires custom teeth whitening trays, which we will make for you in our Canton dental office. You take them home and add whitening gel and wear them for about 30 minutes each day for a week or two until you reach your desired shade.
When Is the Best Time to Whiten Your Teeth?
You can achieve the best results by whitening your teeth right after a professional teeth cleaning. If you are interested in a whiter smile, talk to your dentist or hygienist, and we will get your trays started the same day.
If you are a new patient, we offer free teeth whitening trays with your first dental cleaning and exam!
